| Attic Bases |

Considered by many to
be the most elaborate base, the Attic base is a geometrical and
aesthetic masterpiece. Beginning with a square plinth that is then
topped by a graceful torus, a scotia is created above the two details.
Above the scotia is yet another torus with fillets creating a distinction
between all levels except that of the juncture of the lower torus
and the plinth.

| The Attic base is available in several sizes to meet your design
needs. You can use columns with this base style throughout your home
or building as the classicists and ancients did. Our Attic base’s
are manufactured from the material Fiberglass-Reinforced Polymer
or FRP. This material makes an Attic base that is not only strong,
but durable. This type of base will not rot because it is inherently
water resistant as well as it is impervious to insect infestation
creating a virtually maintenance free detail. When you are selecting
your columns, do not take the column bases for granted. An Attic
base might be the right design for home or building project. |
